Q. You'll have to face, I imagine, Israelis who will say, 'wait a second, you don't live here, you don't send your children to the military here, you don't pay taxes. What right do you have to dictate or even to influence the debate?'
A. I think that's extremely fair [to argue]. But I think as long as the situation in Israel and Palestine is directly related to recruitment by extremist forces, by Al Qaeda, of the terrorists who then come here, I think it is an issue that has ramifications here.I agree a hunnert percent with Ben-Ami. What interests me is the jockeying for position against AIPAC. Ben-Ami mildly bashes Walt and Mearsheimer in this interview–he has to cover his right flank, of course. While Goldberg, taking a position to the right of Ben-Ami and to the left of AIPAC, bashes Walt and Mearsheimer as antisemites because they say just what Ben-Ami says. Wow. One of these guys is falling between two stools.
Thanks to Dan Sisken of Mideast Brief for the tip.

Great. The link for this post is too long to submit to digg.com. Bummer.
Have you thought about modifying your blog so that a "digg this" gui appears automatically? AmericanGoy can show you how it's done. It's a great way to increase the exposure of your blog.
"you don't live here, you don't send your children to the military here, you don't pay taxes"
Actually, Americans do pay taxes to Israel in the form of the billions in financial and military aid handed over to the Zionists annually–no strings attached. Which leads us to…
"the situation in Israel and Palestine is directly related to recruitment by extremist forces"
In other words, extremists know Washington is financing Zionism's ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, and fly planes into American buildings as payback. So in essence, Washington is directly funding a root source of attacks on Americans. Has Washington been punished for this? No, it has been rewarded. Bush has grown the government since 9/11 multi-fold, and Washington has run up the national debt from $5.5 trillion to over $9 trillion on his watch. 9/11 was a convenient rationale.
We are more and more like the Soviet Union every day, to the point where the government is encouraging attacks on America by inflaming its enemies via Israel, and then using those attacks to justify ever more expansion and encroachment of big government into people’s lives and pocketbooks.
We have met the enemy, and he is us (or at least our “representatives”).
Interesting comment by imaginary Israeli's:
"Q. You'll have to face, I imagine, Israelis who will say, 'wait a second, you don't live here, you don't send your children to the military here, you don't pay taxes. What right do you have to dictate or even to influence the debate?'"
Since they have such respect for the concept of national sovergnity, I'm sure they won't mind that those caught spying for Israel be given the death penalty..
after all what right do these spies have to "..even influence policy", in America?
