Jews Prefer to Live Among Gentiles (Says Haaretz)

Haaretz gets it. The great newspaper is trying to lead Israelis away from apartheid and toward respect for Arabs, how–by publishing this piece arguing that New York is a better place for Jews than Israel:

What do "we Jews" look for in a city?…

It must be Jewish but not "too Jewish." In other words, not, Monsey, New York. There are great people there, and I happen to have met a few, including, and after some initial trepidation, on El Al flights, but I'm no Hasid, although it does bring us back to Jerusalem. Here's my take: It is way too sacred and precious, and getting up there in years, to have to enter such competitions. Plus, the vibe there is just too heavy. If one of the most popular sayings about Jerusalem is any indication, I'm in no mood to lose my hand if I forget about the city's centrality in my life. That's scary.

Don't get me wrong, Jews like to be around other Jews, and be a five minute ride away from lox (must be nova) and bagel or pastrami-on-rye, but they also like to be part of a larger urban and multicultural mix…

The end of parochialism is dawning!

This article only further proves that Jews are unable to form a nation-state and will unfortunately remain a rag-tag band of nomadic, parasitic, gypsy-type people until the end of time.

Israel was supposed to cure this nomadic/restless/wandering/precarious nationless existence, but now that the outflow from Israel exceeds the inflow to Israel, it is pretty clear that Jews as a people are (for a multitude of reasons) incapable of forming a settled, permanent, and prosperous nation-state, mostly because of deep and inalterable flaws in Jewish group consciousness and unity.

This is the major deficiency/flaw of the Jews, and will ultimately lead to their downfall because the highest achievement of ANY group is the formation of a settled nation-state which can preserve cultural, religious, and ethnic continuity in the long-term. How is cultural/ethnic continuity possible if Jews forever remain strangers in strange lands?

Because of their inability to form a settled, permanent, and autonomous Jewish state, Jews deserve to be at the whim(s) of the host peoples they live amongst and should no longer complain about mistreatment (anti-Semitism) when confronted by it because Israel was their chance to escape persecution and they squandered it by shunning Israel and preferring to continue living as parasitic wanderers in the dangerous diaspora.

You're forgetting how many nation-states the Jewish people have seen rise and fall. I'm not the first to think that the galut is a blessing. As for parasitism, just look at the bibliographies for any scholarly field and see if you can't find a substantial Jewish contribution. Criticism is great but could you tone down the Stormfront-esque rhetoric?

why don't you jinos just convert out already. All you see as "jewish" is lox and bagels and marx.

we don't want you – glue some bacon to your schmeckels already and go marry the arabs you want to "respect" and maybe the nazis who you agree with re parasitism will tone down their "stormfrontism" enough for you to be comfortable.
