The Revolution Will Not Be Air-Conditioned

Democracy in America is the title of a great progressive show up at the Armory in New York right now. The Times even likes it. One floor of the show is littered with placards saying FEAR, that's the mood. I went to see my friend Greta Pratt's photographs of American flags in everyday life. A flag a day, 365, and kind of a Where's Waldo of the Star Spangled Banner cuz some of em are hard to find. My bitch: you are in one of the great spaces of New York, the shed of the armory, probably 80 feet high, and it is air conditioned, and the people throwing this show are progressives. When doth the rubber hit the road?
