Is this for real? A friend sent it to me, wonders himself. I don't know what to say. That it's racist? That it's misspelled (per Leo Rosten)? That they're trying to pad the McCain vote? That it's Florida? There must be 50 Beth Sholoms in the U.S. I wonder how many young Jews even know the word. Though I do think: Obama will take it (and transform it).

Well, given that any 12-year old with photoshop could make that image in 10 minutes I'm not sure we should put much faith in this photo, but even assuming it is genuine, it is clearly being done as a joke.
There are a bunch of websites that offer the image of a blank building marquis, in which to type a message within the space available.
To make one look legit, all you'd have to do is Photoshop out the site URL and logo from the bottom corner.
I'd say that has to be what this picture is, but with the "Obama half breed muslin" lawn sign in Central Florida and hanging effigy at George Fox, who knows.
People are racist idiots. Who cannot spell.
They can lose their tax-exempt status, right? Considering how the Bush administration went after a church whose priest said something pro-Obama on his own time, I expect this synagogue to be swarming with Federal agents within the hour.
If you look at the entire structure of the sign, it is in the shape of a cross. Also, this looks like a rural, small town setting.
The white rectangle to the right of the sign appears to be a volleyball or badminton net. Notice the area underneath it where there is no grass.
On the top line the B is a bit closer to the left edge than the E is to the right edge.
Lastly, the message is a seasonal one and yet there is no indication that these are changeable letters.
I vote Photoshop!

Hello!!! You are showing your low web literacy and/or your advanced age. This comes from a pop culture joke and political humor site: you can log on to "www.churchsigngenerator.com" and make any message you want. All young people know about this. I think it's being used to nice effect with the synagogue sign.
