Alert! Obama to Unchain Foggy-Bottom Arabists Who Will Pressure Israel to Stop Building Glorious Colonies in West Bank

Mitchell Bard, former AIPAC op, in his latest communique from the center of the earth (or Chevy Chase, MD,  the quaking magmatic kishkes of the lobby):

[With Obama's victory] State Department Arabists see
a chance to be unchained after eight years
of Middle East policy being directed more
by the President, the National Security Adviser
and the Secretary of Defense than by the “experts” in
Foggy Bottom. These Arabists, along with
several of Obama’s advisers who are
expected to hold key positions, believe they
know how to make peace and are chomping at
the bit to resume their diplomatic efforts,
which are likely to focus largely on pressuring
Israel to make concessions. Most are vehement
opponents of Israeli settlement policy and
will try to convince President Obama to pressure
Israel to first stop construction and ultimately
dismantle them. They also will push for Israel
to divide Jerusalem and allow the Palestinians
to establish a capital there. The "Clinton Parameters" will likely be the starting
point for them. The only issues on which
they are likely to strongly back Israel are
on ending terror and incitement, and finding
a formula for compensating the Palestinian refugees that finesses the “right of
return.”

Boy am I glad I heard about this. Malcolm Hoenlein– get Rahm Emanuel on the blower!

Good. There are millions of Jews who want exactly this to transpire and who will "lobby" to see that it does.

What an insult to the Palestinian cause..!!
Do you think this dog will hunt?
Even if its set loose by Arabists?
    Its still a zionist dog.
Why should American or European tax payers finance this buy off plan?
The Jewish mega donors ought to put up the cash….
But what if the Palestinians,(or their families), who were ethnically cleansed really want their land back..?
Should Jewish paranoia trump this right?
The Obama fist in the glove approach..
    Won't work in Iraq,
    or Afghanistan,
    or in Palestine..

Any chance to encourage both Israel and Palestine to NOT insist on Jerusalem as their capital.

With it as both states' capitals, it nice that the respective prime ministers could walk to each others' office (in a perfect world).

But, it also means that each side MUST fight for sovereignty.

MANY individuals that I respect, Palestinians and Zionists, prefer an accessible single Jerusalem.

For example, I doubt that Khalidi (born in Jerusalem), or Sari Nassibeh, prefers a Jerusalem that they can only get to a few neighborhoods of, with former local Palestinian areas replaced by a government center.

The religious exclusivities are difficult enough.

I find it a bit ironic that Phil flirts with a cosmopolitan single state in the land from the river to the sea, but insists (and harrangues) that Jerusalem NOT be single jurisdiction.

I personally don't know of an answer that would satisfy everyone.

I'd rather "pick my fights" (meaning, DON'T fight about things that are unnecessary to, and ONLY fight about what is necessary).

That assumes that Jews and Palestinians will continue to be neighbors, and not forcibly moved by either.

Why would the Palestinians even need a voice when so many zionists know just what they need and want right?

Oh Lord! Foreign policy being set by people who actually know what they're talking about!!! Man the lifeboats, the republic is surely doomed!

It's amazing how much of the last eight years has been spent pretending that obvious facts are false and obvious non-facts are true.

Everyone, Zionist or not, should be glad if this really does happen.

Our dear friend has watched a video of Khalidi and since then he has a mystical direct link to his thoughts.

Of course both Nussibeh and Khalidi could possibly pass much more easily any frontiers from West to East or vice versa, than the average citizen.

What I find much more interesting.

Israeli administration, I suppose? With lots of new checkpoints for the average Palestinian. Including very limited chances for any of them to enter it anyway.

For months Mr Weiss has been baiting his readers to vote for Obama by telling us of Obama's Nixonian secret plan to fix the Palestinean/Israeli conflict. Of course for that to actually happen, Obama would have to break the bonds of his Jewish financiers.

Well the appointment yesterday of Rahm Emanuel tells us all in no uncertain terms that none of these foggy bottom Arabists will be getting anywhere near the oval office.

The charade is up Mr Weiss. How much longer you going to keep scamming your readers with this nonsense? Is it possible you will actually be 'fessing up on this or will you be parking your SUV on the Bear Mountain Bridge and jumping in the Hudson like that other Jewish scam artist Sam Israel?

  8. reader says:

You were hoping for McCain, Chuck?

  9. anon says:

Don't sell Phil short, he had high hopes Obama might actually change things; certainly McCain would not. Phil has not waxed happy to see Obama's first appointment. And he is tracking the transition team. Of course you can fault Phil for never commenting on the platforms of the third parties, but why should he differ from
any other voices on what's coming down the pipe as sure as usury?

  10. Ezra says:

Rahm's a "new" Zionist. He's trading the settlements for Jerusalem. In so doing, he'll tick off the Feithzellsteins in Israel and the US, like a sociopath like Rahm cares if you're ticked at him. Israel will hold what it's got now and wait to expand again in the future. It's an old ploy that's worked thus far.

Obama is merely another chit in the 60+ years-long fight that's been going on between the factions of the Jewish political machine in America. As chits go, he dresses well and sounds good up there.
