in this gonzo piece about the rising antisemitism by Claudia Rosett. Also there's this odd metaphor:
There are many spokes in the anti-Semitic web now being re-woven around
the globe, from Saudi Arabia to the Palestinian schools and media that
feature maps without Israel, and role models such as a martyred version
of Mickey Mouse.
I know about "minuscule" because my friend Victor Troll used to go up to people on the subway and ask them to spell it. We were young nerds then. And they would almost invariably spell it as Rosett does, miniscule. No no. This has to be stopped. Now. -Phil Weiss

Miniscule is an eggcorn:

What an over-the-top piece of tripe, full of every canard.
Nowhere does Ms. Rosett define antisemitism. Were any of the "Jewish hate crimes" because of objection to Israeli policies? Is the crime considered religiously motivated because the victim is Jewish? There is no way of telling that from the tables or the FBI site alone.
Ms. Rosett misrepresents the 'horror' she describes. It is not put in the proper perspective. Here is the 2007 FBI hate crime table.
link to fbi.gov
Anti-Black hate crimes top the list: 2,658
Anti-Jewish: 969
Anti-Male Homosexual: 772
Anti-White: 749
Anti-Hispanic: 595

Oh, thank you for the eggcorn database link! Loved it.
When will anyone speaking today on the subject of anti-semitism discuss
the socio-economic role of the Jews in Europe, where the term originated?
Since Marx was discredited by the economic fall of the USSR, and to a few informed people, also by the role of Jews in early Communism,
where is the new voice? Is there anything in public view that does not assume anti-semitism springs full-blown from rabid racists?
