Gaza has depressed and radicalized Sari Nusseibeh

Anees writes from Jerusalem:
A 12 Jan TV interview with Al-Quds University President Sari Nusseibeh. "It's a crime against humanity…I've been so depressed… I stay away from talks with Israeli friends and colleagues." Negotiating along the same tracks of the last 15 years won't work. "One of the unfortunate reverberations will be that we will have to look again anew at what kind of binational reality we have before us." The 2-state solution looks "very dead to me."
Other points: What is the point of even negotiating with Israel, when it has sowed this kind of hatred in the younger generation? "It is like my own children being killed." The credibility of the Palestinian peace camp has been destroyed and Israel has fostered fundamental, radical changes throughout the Arab world…
If you don't know Dr. Nusseibeh, perhaps these two words best describe him: peace slut. And yet this is what a peace slut is saying.
