Zionists use the violence to revive ’48 model: ethnic cleansing

Robert Fisk says 600 Palestinian dead in a week represents "atrocity on the level of the Balkan wars of the 1990s." He's on to something. The unkillable neocons are looking at the same violence and of course blaming Hamas and saying the Palestinians shouldn't get a state. John Bolton is given space in the Washington Post to say two states are over, there's just a three-state solution: Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. Netanyahu is sure to say this next. This is simply a variation on the neocons' plans that George Packer described in Assassins' Gate: everybody move over one; Jordanian Hashemites take Iraq, Palestinians take Jordan. Of course no one is drawing the West Bank borders; when they do we will see good old ethnic cleansing.

Robert Fisk and "The Independent" have fortitude and report the facts.

Unfortunately, the BBC has fallen to US [lack of] standards, since the resignation of their former head, Gavyn Davies, in 2004 over the TRUE story that Tony Blair "sexed up the intelligence that Saddam had nuclear weapons.

Here's a thorough description of the BBC's manipulation and actual substitution of falsities for the truth to benefit the Israeli government.

That contrast between Zionist butchery and Israeli self-pity is wrenchingly sent up by Philip Slater,

A Message to Israel: Time to Stop Playing the Victim Role

    A sample:
'Calling Hamas the 'aggressor' is undignified. The Gaza strip is little more than a large Israeli concentration camp, in which Palestinians are attacked at will, starved of food, fuel, energy–even deprived of hospital supplies. They cannot come and go freely, and have to build tunnels to smuggle in the necessities of life. It would be difficult to have any respect for them if they didn't fire a few rockets back.

The Israel lobby has a hissy fit when anyone points out that Israel has been borrowing liberally from the Nazi playbook, but to punish a whole nation for the attacks of a few–which Israel has been doing consistently in Gaza–is a violation of international law–a law enacted in response to the Nazi practice. And please, spare us the hypocrisy–borrowed, I'm ashamed to admit, from my own government–of saying 'every effort is made to avoid civilian casualties'. When you drop bombs on a crowded city you're bombing civilians. Bombs don't ask for ID cards. Bombs are civilian killers. That's what they do. They're designed to break the spirit of a nation by slaughtering families. They were used all through World War II by all sides for that very purpose. And that's what they're intended for in Gaza.'

Slater also lampoons the Zionist expansionists for imitating the US nineteenth-century genocide of those who inhabited the lands earlier than the whites did.

  3. The '48 Nakba has roots in Sorelian doctrine of purification through violence. This idea resonated with Jabotinskians because it complemented their ethnic monism and their belief in the reviving the nation through racial purification, which only as authentic as it was violent.

From this idea it is only a short step to Trotsky's Permanent Revolution and in a slightly different direction to Friedman's Shock Doctrine.

Thus Jabotinakianism has the ability to enmesh Jewish Bolsheviks by presenting a revolutionary face and to subvert non-Jews as an antidote to class-based revolutionary Marxism as Israel Shamir presents my hypothesis here.

[Note that the common Sorelian constituent ideas of Jabotinskianism, Trotskianism and Friedmanism made it possible for Jewish Neocons to obscure their Jabotinskian Zionist origins with claim of descent from Schachtmanite Trotskianism and to work closely with non-Jewish Friedmanites like Dick Cheney.

Of course, a few Schachtmanites like Schachtman himself really do seem to have come to Zionism through the mediation of Jabotinskianism presented as a revolutionary ideology even if Schachtman's final political position was somewhat closer to Labor Zionism than the Jabotinskianism.]
