impact on Jews, especially since 48 and even more so since 67. And this

as "conflating" the two. Indeed conflating depends on not recognizing
the politics of this impact.
Phil, do many Jews you know have ANY Jewish identity beyond Shoah-fixation, Zionism, and a vague leftism?
If you take away the Zionism and obession with latent Nazism in non-Jews, what would remain?
I agree with Phil on this, I think he has expressed the problem perfectly when he says, "Recognizing this is not the same as conflating the two."

Yet I would argue that the issue is really deeper.
Jews have to start to take responsibility and show remorse for the crimes that have arisen from Jewish politics just as non-Jews especially Germans are expected to take responsibility and show remorse for the anti-Jewish crimes that have arisen from non-Jewish politics.
To be specific, since the 1850s crimes against non-Jews arising from internal Jewish politics in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Palestine, the UK and the USA have included sabotage, targeted assassinations, radical revolutionary violence, sedition, subversion, mass murder, ethnic cleansing, genocide, espionage, massive economic exploitation, massive fraud, incineration of Arab and Muslim countries, conspiracy against rights in the USA, seditious conspiracy in the USA, and manipulation of the financial markets with resulting collapse of the world economic system.
It's time for a little contrition as well, and ethical Jews need to start demanding the arrest of Jewish malefactors as well as the seizure of all of their assets.
