300 children were just killed in Gaza. But Kerry and Biden cannot say a word about them. Why?

Medea Benjamin of Code Pink is an anguished Jew. She was dragged out of the AIPAC policy conference by people who held their hands over her mouth as she cried out about the children of Gaza. She writes:

Senator Kerry, despite that fact that he was one of only a handful of legislators who visited Gaza, didn't say one word about the massive destruction he witnessed and pledged that as Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he would do everything to ensure that the $30 billion in military aid to Israel is "delivered in full." ...Even Vice President Biden, who at least told AIPAC that Israel should freeze new settlement activity, didn't say a word about the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by Israel's invasion and continued blockade of Gaza. No U.S. officials, and there were hundreds at the conference, dared echo the call of the United Nations or the world community to lift the siege of Gaza.

Oh, the answer to my headline? The Israel lobby.

Probably because many of those "children" were engaged in combat when killed, which is a war crime for the side that enlisted and used them precisely so that self righteous fakes all across the globe can whine about their deaths.

  2. Kathleen says:

Medea is remarkable and I so appreciate her work and courageous! Go Medea

Yeah, why are these political leaders of the Democratic party afraid to say what many people wish they could at this forum. I mean AIPAC goes to great length to gather a 6,000 person audience, which might seem intimidating to the speakers, but Biden or Kerry can fire a few shots at the AIPAC crowd. They have their seniority and shouldn't feel that the Lobby will come after them. They did not say anything of Gaza and the brutality and death. Sad, when families perish because of political weakness.

"…300 children were just killed in Gaza. But Kerry and Biden cannot say a word about them. Why? …" Yeah and also notice that the so called popular 'progressive' blogs don't mention this slaughter either — nor the fact that Israel is still blocking humanitarian aid. It's really sickening.

"…300 children were just killed in Gaza. But Kerry and Biden cannot say a word about them. Why? …" Cowardice comes to mind. They would not mention this painful reality unless the elders of tribanistan gave them permission to.

300 children were just killed in Gaza. But Kerry and Biden cannot say a word about them. Why? Isn't it obvious? Our Government is compromised: http://original.antiwar.com/giraldi/2009/05/04/ig...

Harman has denied that she did anything wrong, and she has tried to turn the tables by accusing the government of illegally recording her conversation, a red herring introduced by those trying to minimize the significance of the affair. Make no mistake, Harman was on the receiving end of an intelligence operation. Her phone conversation was recorded because she was talking to someone who was working with Israeli intelligence, which was the target of the investigation. Intelligence officers highly prize an agent of influence, which is a well-placed politician or media figure who will do one’s bidding, and they seek to obtain that cooperation by trading favors that both they and the target know are illegal. It was illegal for Harman to promise to interfere in a court case, something that her contact clearly was aware of. It was illegal for the agent of a foreign government to pressure the speaker of the House to promote Harman. Once such favors are exchanged, the intelligence officer has leverage to demand more because his new agent will cooperate rather than have the illegal details of the relationship revealed. That is how covert operations are taught at the CIA training center and every other intelligence school in the world. There should be no uncertainty about what was taking place, even if the mainstream media and Harman’s colleagues in government don’t get it. At last report, Harman is not being investigated, she has not been criticized by anyone in the government or in either party, and she just spoke at the AIPAC convention in Washington. So much for equal justice under law.

300 children were just killed in Gaza. But Kerry and Biden cannot say a word about them. Why? Because 300 children were not just killed in Gaza. The number is a Hamas propaganda figure and Kerry and Biden know it. And so do you.<b/>

  8. Margaret599 says:

Why do you question the number killed, Jacobwolfen? To what number do you ascribe significance, what number do you consider insignificant? What benefit was received for the deaths, that seems to render the deaths subject to dismissal in your view?

  9. Jacobwolfen says:

I don't question the total number, just that the 300 were not all children.

  10. Drake says:

Half of Gaza's population is children; the actual number of children dead is 415. You must be one sick individual if you can't even acknowledge their deaths.

  11. DICKERSON3870 says:

RE: "…300 children were just killed in Gaza…" MY COMMENT: Children or "cockroaches"*? *as some of Israel's supporters see them

  12. Sten says:

    that is weak.

  13. Jacobwolfen says:

I challange your definition of children. I suspect it is designed to be inflammatory and to build up the number. It has been proven that the number you propose actually includes active combatants, although under the age of 19.

  14. Jacobwolfen says:

Fewer supporters of israel view children this way than supporters of Palestinian fascism.

  15. Margaret599 says:

Would you link to whatever you consider to "prove" this, please? The number of dead from Cast Lead was over 1000, and the number killed aged 17 yr or younger is variously reported as between 300-400. To me, the question of age of those dead is not as relevant as why they were killed.

  16. Margaret599 says:

Your opinion, Jacobwolfen, and a very "they aren't human beings like us" sounding one, it is.

  17. Wolf says:

Exactly, and same for the 6 million Shoah figure. I saw those real time video clips of Auschwitz, just propaganda, and we all know it.

  18. B.BarNavi says:

Medea is Jewish?! Is she single?

  19. duddy K says:

Yeah, Jacobwolfen is right. We, the most moral army in the world proved it. just ask us.

  20. Duddy K says:

Yeah, we all know the Palestinian mothers love war more than their own children.

  21. Margaret599 says:

The relevance of the Shoah to this post isn't clear. What does your viewing of video clips of Auschwitz have to do with the dead of Gaza?
