She wanted to visit Israel and was grilled at the border about her travel in Arab countries. They took her laptop… Apparently she has saved the hard-drive. Her story here. Hmm, the article really didn’t say, potsherd, so I wasn’t going to assume she was. She might be, but the relevant perhaps is that she’s not obviously Jewish (in fact, one might guess it was assumed she wasn’t Jewish at the checkpoint, considering her job and considering the Zionist Israeli perspective) and so therefore the Israeli security forces had no motivation to give her VIP treatment.
She said she had family there. otoh, she also said she knows nothing about Judaism.
Jews aren’t the only people with family in Israel — much to the ire of Zionists, perhaps.

Could easily be so; remember David Susskind, on old MSM TV? He had a talk show back in the days of the dinosaurs. He was Jewish.
Sussman is a name similarly both Germanic and German Jewish.
