Last spring longtime liberal Zionist Charney Bromberg showed his moral leadership by telling a largely Jewish room at Columbia University that what he had seen on his last visit was pretty much apartheid. Now Haaretz is using the same language:
If Israel continues to prefer expanding the settlements to ensuring its status as a Jewish democratic state, we will lose the last Palestinian partner who could prevent its perpetuation as an isolated, condemned apartheid state.
Today the New York Times indicated that it may frankly emulate Al Jazeera’s social media conduit. Maybe it should emulate Israeli media.
