BBC has a piece showing 4 Israeli settlers descending with baseball bats on Palestinian shepherds because the locals are grazing their animals too close to the colonists' land. Charming. B'tselem, the great human rights org, is responsible; gave 100 cameras to Palestinians.
This piece in the Economist tells of the incredible pressure on water resources in the Middle East, and notes another byproduct of colonization:
More alarmingly, because rubbish dumping in Israel is better controlled
than it used to be, contractors now dump more waste illegally in the
poorly supervised West Bank, which adds to the contamination of the
aquifer.
