Pinkwashing doesn’t fly in SFO

I don’t know how true this is anywhere else, but here in the Bay Area, Zionists have made gay rights a major focus of their propaganda. Fortunately, they don’t get away with it without challenge, because the LGBT community includes a large number of active and creative supporters of justice for Palestine (for example, Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism – www.quitpalestine.org/).

Here’s a report on a recent action (though I should say I don’t know whether QUIT had anything to do with this one):

ZIONIST LGBT FILM SERIES
OUT IN ISRAEL FILM SERIES:  April 8-29, 2010 in San Francisco

In honor of Israel Pride Month, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival (SFJFF) teams up with the Consulate General of Israel this April to present the “Out in Israel” film series—a special showcase of new, recent and classic films from Israel exploring lesbian and gay life, imagery and stories. Series films, curated by SFJFF, will include the San Francisco premiere of Haim Tabakman’s drama EYES WIDE OPEN; the critically-acclaimed Israeli documentary JERUSALEM IS PROUD TO PRESENT; and the powerful dramas YOSSI & JAGGER, THE SECRETS, and AMAZING GRACE. All films are free of charge, with the exception of EYES WIDE OPEN, which is $8. The Out in Israel film series is part of a larger month-long celebration of LGBT Israeli culture to include literary readings, musical performances, dance, lectures, and much more.

There is an upcoming Israeli film series that was being advertised on the streets of San Francisco but those ads have been remade so we can finally have some truth in advertising!
