AIPAC won’t let us report on its policy conference

The AIPAC policy conference begins on Sunday, the annual hoedown of the leading Israel lobby organization, attended by hundreds of congresspeople to discuss such questions as US support for Israel attacking Iran. We wanted to cover it.

Yesterday evening and this morning we each received the same email from Maureen Higgins, who works at Scott Circle Communications, which is handling the conference:

Thank you for your interest in attending this year’s AIPAC Policy Conference as a member of the press.   However, press credentials for the conference will not be issued to you.  We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

Update: Scott Roth, our publisher, was also rejected. And last year a bunch of folks were rejected, including Mitchell Plitnick and an alternet writer. Hey; can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

AIPAC discriminating against critics?

Has anyone contacted the ADL?

Surprise!….they don’t like you…you’re too critical of Israel…LOL
You need to be sneakier about getting in.

We know what it will be about anyway. More money for Israel and bombing Iran.
And all the “US” politicians will as usual pledge allegiance to Israel and swear to spend every last drop of US blood and treasure for Israel and Zionism.

Stop AIPAC should be outside the conference entrance with a herd of donkeys with different attending politicians names on them and signs saying ‘ Hey America! -Watch your Israel -Firsters Fellating the Donkey for AIPAC”

To be expected. They only want the kind of reportage that strokes their already overinflated egos. Hope you’ve got a mole or two within what they think is the ‘safe’ crowd!

surely someone will be able to slide in unnoticed who can bring us back a report?
