Obama at 125th Street
The ad wars on Metro North, the commuter line that pumps the elite into and out of Manhattan, continue. StandWithUs is an Israel lobby group. This ad was up at Harlem-125th Street station this morning. It features Yityish Aynaw, an Ethiopian-born Israeli who served in the Israeli army and became Miss Israel 2013.

I have been carefully chronicling the racist attacks against non-Jewish African asylum-seekers in Israel for several years. In January 2012, an organization in Israel that aids African asylum-seekers, the African Refugee Development Center, asked me to author on their behalf a report to the United Nations Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD). After receiving the report in text and video form, the UN committee urged the Israeli government to prevent racist attacks against Africans in Israel. The Israeli government ignored the UN’s call, and the following month, Israelis firebombed a kindergarten for African children in Tel Aviv, igniting a wave of violence against non-Jewish African people in Israel that is still ongoing. friendcountry’s beauty queen is black!Seems like an effective ad to me. If you come from Antarctica and have converted to our religion you can become a full citizen or even a beauty queen. If you have been living in our land at least as long as a big majority of us have and have a different religion, you will probably live under military occupation, be a second class citizen, or a refugee. Maybe it’s not “racist” after all. So what is it?
I guess these people will never learn that it doesn’t immunize you from being a racist just because you are selective in your bigotry. A white person who loves Asian people but hates black folks is still a racist, regardless of how many pictures he can produce of himself buddying around with his Asian friends.

What are they trying to say?
– Why be Muslim, Barry, when Jewish is so much sweeter?
– Michelle is America: Big and boring. Miss Israel is “Jewish State”: Younger, slimmer and full of adventure!
– There should be “no light between” two black people?
And why is there no mention of [“Remember] the Holocaust[!”™]? Aren’t they worried that people will forget?
