First stop for presidential contenders begins with I, but it’s not Iowa

Report from the Hill:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) said he will visit Israel this October, the clearest sign yet he is considering running for president in 2016.

“We will be going to Israel to bring together Arabs, Christian and Jews in an educational forum,” Perry told The Washington Times in an interview.

But apparently the office Gov. Perry aspires to is one in the United States?

H/t Mark Harrison.

P.S. Michael Scheuer:

“By faction,” James Madison, the Constitution’s father, wrote in the justly famous Federalist No. 10, ”I understand a number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or a minority, who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adverse to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent interests of the community.”

Now, one must presume that Mr. Madison never imagined that the two houses of the United States Congress and the federal executive branch could conceivably combine with what today is called a “private interest group” – namely AIPAC – to be exactly the sort of faction that would threaten both “the rights of other citizens” and “the permanent interests of the community.”

Perry’s major in college was Animal Science. He’s a former Eagle Scout and Military Cargo plane pilot. He’s the longest running Texas governor. Nothing indicates he would have even a basic knowledge of the history of the I-P conflict. He’s perfect for the next POTUS, a cunning bumpkin, ignoramus versus the last of the WASPs, Hillary, an Ivy League pantsuit gal, who knows better, but, basically has intermarried into AIPAC. Somebody to contrast both with is Ralph Nader, who taught us unsafe at any speed, and has brought it to a level far behind the car industry. I predict the females will usher in the Hillary Clinton Era. After the Obama Era, followed by the Hillary Era, there will not be much left of America, but it will again be open to serious thinking about both the US domestic politics and foreign affairs–but by then we will be a 3rd World country with a veneer of something else.

“Arabs, Christian and Jews”

Shouldn’t that be “Muslims, Christians and Jews”?? Oh, that’s right, Perry’s a moron.

“First stop for presidential contenders begins with I, but it’s not Iowa”

Well, that’s what you get when you permit traitors’ and fifth-columnists’ money to buy elections.

““We will be going to Israel to bring together Arabs, Christian and Jews in an educational forum,” Perry told The Washington Times in an interview.”

What a load of poo. He remains a true rube. Wonder where he’ll get his “Arabs” from. Why did he call Christian and Jews by their faith, and not Muslims? Is it a “dirty” word to him?

Bring on the clown show. I truly believe that Presidential contenders should mind their own country’s business and not pay homage to Israel– they are mucking about in foreign affairs and being disingenuous.

Don’t they pledge allegiance to our flag, and only our flag?

Alexandra Petri of WP:

So-called insiders are already pointing out why it would be a bad idea for him to run. They say reasonable-sounding things, like, “Are you kidding me? Rick Perry?”

Sure, he fizzled in 2012, a year when a piece of damp cardboard led the field for a full 6 weeks after someone pointed out it was not Mitt Romney. So how could he expect to prevail against people such as Chris Christie and Marco Rubio, who not only are actual live humans but also possess the significant advantages of not being Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain or The Individual Under Donald Trump’s Hair? He couldn’t beat Rick Santorum, and you couldn’t even Google Rick Santorum!

I think this “damp cardboard” snark is a bit gratuitous: why damp? Anyway, from Wikipedia: ” Most infamously, in a debate on November 9, 2011, Perry began a fiery statement about his platform, pledging to eliminate three government departments, but after naming the departments of Education and Commerce, he couldn’t remember the third. ”

Unfortunately, trekking to Israel is not as stupid as Perry in general. As a President, he will probably invade two countries (including New Mexico?), and then the entire world will be terrified what will happen next.
