Hamas equals ISIS in ‘grisly creeds and grisly deeds,’ Netanyahu tells a nodding Cuomo

News
on 27 Comments

Governor Andrew Cuomo met with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu today, and Netanyahu posted these joint remarks, in which he equates Hamas with ISIS in Iraq and Syria– “in their grisly creeds and their grisly deeds”– and says the U.S. must support Israel’s fight with Hamas.

At minute 2, the governor, who is on his first trip out of the United States since he assumed office three years ago, can be seen nodding during Netanyahu’s equation of Hamas and ISIS as terrorist tyrannies that “reject modernity.” Then Cuomo affirms his solidarity, and himself equates Hamas with Al Qaeda.

Netanyahu:

Representing the rejection of the false symmetry that is made. Just as you wouldn’t put America and ISIS on the same moral plane, you would never put Israel and Hamas on the same moral plane.

Remember that Hamas celebrated 9/11. They celebrated the murder of thousands of innocent people, including thousands of New Yorkers… They were standing on the roof and cheering while all of the people of Israel grieved… with the United States…

Hamas continues to do these horrible things that ISIS does. They persecute Christians, they persecute gays, they persecute women. They basically reject modernity. They are a terrorist tyranny that is imposed on their people. And when their people reject being used as human shields, you know what they do governor– they execute them!

…On one side you have Israel and the United States representing democracies committed to human rights, committed to our real future for our people. And on the other you have the likes of ISIS and Hamas, Islamist tyrannies that have no inhibition in pursuing their grisly creeds and their grisly deeds.

Cuomo seems to agree with the parallel:

We want to stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel. We want to stand in solidarity with you…

We understand what you are facing, and we support your right, your need to defend your people against terror…

[Our city and Israel share] family connections, cultural connections, historic connections– so our relations go very deep.

The fight that you fight is the fight against terror. Unfortunately in New York we’ve had a rude awakening to the pain and suffering that terror can cause in 9/11. So we have a special sensitivity in our hearts for what you’re going through now…

The discovery of these tunnels I find very troubling indeed.

“I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar,” Sarkozy told Obama, unaware that the microphones in their meeting room had been switched on, enabling reporters in a separate location to listen in to a simultaneous translation.

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Obama replied, according to the French interpreter.

and where is Sarkozy now? You can hate on Netanyahu all you want but he has never been more popular among most Israelis. It is equally as foolish to question why the Palestinians have not toppled Hamas. They must have some degree of broad support despite the reports of their supposed ‘intolerance’ of dissent. There is not enough evidence to suggest the people of Gaza don’t support Hamas exactly as much as Israelis support the PM

Why is he meeting and treating the ISIS terrorist at Israeli. He made a makeshift hospital along Israel/Syria boarder and treats all the terrorists.
Terrorist in video is speaking Arabic and Netanyahu even replies back in some Arabic words.

I am not sure if they are ISIS or Syrian rebels. It is known the Israel is training the Syrian rebels, together with the US, and others.
Wherever there is war and strife, there you will find the dirty fingerprints of the US and Israel, Mossad and the CIA. Our tax dollars at work.

I didn’t save the links, but I have read in the dark corners of the internet, that ISIS
is a reincarnation of Al Quaeda (a cia creature) and that al Baghdadi was trained by Mossad. It would be helpful to pull together a summary of these articles, with references. Comparison of Gazan resistance, fighting for freedom in their homeland and fighting to break a genocidal years long siege is entirely different. But then Netanyahu never misses the opportunity to exploit and reexploit a crisis for maximal fear mongering and incitement. His track record on this is exquisitely clear and consistent. The larger question is what price will be paid by our pandering politicians such as Hillary Clinton, Cuomo, etc. at the ballot box?

Hamas or their wing fighters are NO WHERE close with these ISIS/Al-Qaida or any association with them. There are several thousand of Christians in Gaza, not once have they been harmed or harassed by Hamas let alone killed. Hamas never attacked any country or people except the occupiers. This is all propaganda psychosocial talk, if repeated so many times, by different media outlets, the same thing, people start believing it. Thanks to honest websites and twitter, and people getting off their kool aide, no one buys their propaganda.

There is much truth to what Netanyahu says. Both ISIS and Hamas glorify violence and revel in bloodshed. So ISIS lops off infidels heads and plays soccer with it. Hamas encourage their youth to strap bombs to their bodies and blow up Jews on buses and Pizza Parlors. Same difference. Both groups are genocidal psychos that have nothing positive to add to this world. Of course alot of what Hamas does is sanitized (at least for “lefties”) due to the fact that they kill those pesky Zionists!!!

There is much truth to what Netanyahu says. Both ISIS and Hamas glorify violence and revel in bloodshed.

And Israel DOESN’T glorify violence and revel in bloodshed? I think you’re a bit late with that lame assertion. We’ve all seen those videos of the residents of Sderot partying on hilltops while watching the destruction of Gaza. And those other videos of right-wing counter-demonstrators yelling “Death to the Arabs! Death to the leftists!”

People who have been present at those demonstrations tell us over and over again that these rabid “patriots” aren’t just venting–they really mean it! Many have attested to the poisonous atmosphere of hatred and violence and that seems to have possessed the Israeli population, or a significant portion of it anyway.

You are just going to have to accept the fact that that old hasbara dog won’t hunt any more, and neither will the other old hasbara dogs. They should all be put out of their misery.

You need some new material, although God knows where you’re going to find it. But that’s your problem, not mine.

Interesting what Israeli agents did and Netanyahu said about Israel and 9/11. I thought most of the world knows today that five Israeli agents were arrested in the U.S., playing Arabs dancing for 9/11.

    http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/fiveisraelis.html

And guess who said these words:

“We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon…”

    Netanyahu himself, of course.

    http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2008/04/16/quotable_netanyahu_says_israel_benefitted_from_911

    And now Netanyahu says:

Remember that Hamas celebrated 9/11. They celebrated the murder of thousands of innocent people, including thousands of New Yorkers… They were standing on the roof and cheering while all of the people of Israel grieved… with the United States…

    Netanyahu is really stunning.

It wasn’t only 5 agents but rather 120 Israeli agents that were rounded up and quietly deported. Although it was never proven that Israel had something to do with it, it was proven that it had advance knowledge that it was about to happen. From BBC News October 2002:

“… The American intelligence agency, the CIA, could have prevented the 11 September attacks if it were not for systematic failures, according to the German newspaper Die Zeit.

Just a month before the deadly attacks, the paper said, Mossad handed over to the Americans a detailed report naming several suspects they believe were preparing an attack on the United States

The paper has uncovered details of a major Israeli spy ring involving some a 120 agents for the intelligence service Mossad operating across America and some masquerading as arts students.

The ring was reportedly hard on the heels of at least four members of the hijack gang, including its leader Mohammed Atta.

But the Israeli agents were detected by their American counterparts and thrown out of the country, it says….”

        Walid

Die Zeit is a major German newspaper but it’s totally pro-Israel, one of the most biased for Israel I would say. I remember, that in 2002 it acted like a mouthpiece of AIPAC. One of the big wigs at Die Zeit, Josef Joffe, is on especially good terms with the Washington NeoCon-Israel-Lobby cabal. I suspect most of what it prints is spoonfed Israeli propaganda. The quote from BBC above reads to me like this: the hasbara tries to paint an image as if the Israeli spies and agents in the US were trying to warn the US of 9/11 while in reality some of them were doing false propaganda dancing to 9/11 and trying to create the impression Arabs danced to 9/11 in the US.

By the way: to me it seems to be quite clear that 9/11 was a Saudi-Israeli co-production. “I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won’t get in their way,” Bibi said some months before it to a settler fearing peace, and then Bibi’s buddy Larry Silverstein bought the asbestos-contaminated WTC towers for a lot of money and insured them remarkbly well against terrorism.

That is typical Bibi war mongering. He tries to provoke US anger by lying about the Palestinian side. He talks about the Palestinians celebrating, but seems to have conveniently forgotten his blood thirsty people sitting on stolen hill tops, having barbecues, picnics, and watching Gaza being bombed and civilians being killed, on their lounge chairs. Damn hypocrite.

What does bibi have on all these politicians? Bibi sits back and grins and gets ready to cash more checks. And yes he is very popular in israel I assume it’s because he is killing a lot of Palestinians and has the elected officials of the US falling all over themselves trying to plant a juicy kiss on his “massive behind” (thanks Kay24!).

    Atlantaiconoclast on August 13, 2014, 8:16 pm

Exactly. I know there are many here who don’t want to hear the truth about 9/11, but surely, we are allowed to point out that the Palestinians supposedly filmed celebrating 9/11, were actually filmed earlier, before 9/11! Yet, we know for a fact that multiple witnesses saw a group of Israelis celebrating as the towers collapsed. Learn about the dancing Israelis folks. Till we have the courage to confront the truth about 9/11, this movement will not receive much sympathy, for Americans equate the Palestinians with “A Rab terrorists who attacked us on 9/11”!

    • Kay24
      Kay24 on August 13, 2014, 10:22 pm

You are right that footage was supposed to have been really films before 9/11.
There was also a time when they tried to tell the world Gaza was doing great and had a picture of a luxury mall, that they claimed was in Gaza – it was later proved that it was a mall in Malaysia. They are masters of deception and manufacturers of lies.

      • Kay24
        Kay24 on August 14, 2014, 8:26 am

Almost every nation condemned what happened on 9/11, even Iran and Saddam Hussein, who initially did not, but later showed sympathy.
Even if there were small pockets of civilians who showed some gloating, no one can fault them, we have made people hate us in that part of the world, because of our sickening alliance with Israel, aiding and arming it, so we should expect that reaction.

        Agreed.
I was just interested whether atlanta’s statement:
“Palestinians supposedly filmed celebrating 9/11, were actually filmed earlier, before 9/11 ”
Is a true statement or not. I am under the impression that it is not (after a short search on the web).
and would be interested to see otherwise. Not to hold it against Palestinians as a whole if it is false, but to hold it against the media if it is true.

“The cause of Gaza is that of Mosul in Iraq and Arasal in Lebanon.

For the terrorism is the same: the terror of a state in Israel versus the terror of Takfir (practice of accusing others of being infidels) in Mosul.
The Takfir is the same: the Takfir of Israel in the name of Jews and the Takfir of ISIL in the name of Islam.
The killing is the same in the name of religion, forced displacement is the same in the name of the project of the state, and the elimination of the ‘other’ is the same in the name of monolithism.
All of this is being done under the auspices of the International community and its silence, as a service for some inhumane plans.
And here we are stuck between the Takfir of ISIL and the apartheid of Israel, while the International community stands idle and watches.”
