Mondoweiss is Hiring – Individual Giving Manager

Mondoweiss is hiring a new development professional as our excellent colleague Olivia Katbi Smith is leaving to take advantage of an exciting opportunity. Olivia sends this parting message:

I’ll be leaving my position at Mondoweiss to pursue exciting new opportunities to strengthen our movement for justice. While I’m looking forward to the work ahead, I’m sad to be leaving the amazing team of writers and staff here, and will of course miss the best part of my job: communicating directly with you, the readers. In my time here, I’ve heard from so many of you on what brought you to the site–your journeys to supporting justice in Palestine have been so inspiring to learn about, and I’ve been blown away by the number of serious movement builders who rely on Mondoweiss’s reporting. As an organizer and activist myself, I constantly turn to Mondoweiss to inform my work, and getting to know the day-to-day, behind-the-scenes of the site, the people behind the writing, and the donors who make it possible has made this organization that much more meaningful to me. We know that working towards justice in Palestine isn’t a day job–it’s a movement we must be wholeheartedly dedicated to, and so I know this isn’t the end of our time together. I encourage you all to keep in touch, and keep reading, keep fighting, keep working to build a better world–because a better world IS possible, and I believe we can win it.

We are excited for what will come next for Olivia, and are sorry to see her leave the team. This also means that we are looking to fill a new important position at Mondoweiss: Individual Giving Manager.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced person committed to an activist, social-justice approach to fundraising. Inspired to build relationships with donors, the Individual Giving Manager will help increase Mondoweiss’s capacity to inform the public about human rights in Palestine.

Please see the detailed job announcement for information about the position and how to apply.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis starting February 21; please apply as soon as possible. Please follow the instructions here for details on applying for the Individual Giving Manager position.

Mondoweiss seeks to be a diverse organization and especially welcomes applications from women, people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQI individuals. In addition, we place a particular emphasis on increasing the role of Palestinian-identified people on our team.

If this positions sounds right for you, please apply. If you know others who would be interested, please share these announcements. We look forward to reviewing many capable, passionate candidates.
