Weekly Briefing: See a sneak preview of our new documentary – “Inside Israeli Apartheid”

There are a lot of important stories from this past week, but first I want to share an exciting preview of our latest project – a new documentary produced by Yumna Patel which unpacks the apartheid reality in Palestine. Please watch the trailer here, and look for the full 20-minute documentary soon!

Speaking of apartheid, we ran a story this week on yet another blockbuster report accusing Israel of the crime against humanity. This one, written by Harvard Law School’s International Human Rights Clinic, has flown a bit under the radar, partly because the Israel lobby appears afraid to take it head on. The report, written in partnership with Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, serves as another important data point in documenting the obvious reality in Palestine.

Sadly Israeli aggressions continue on a daily basis despite this growing awareness. This week also marked an important anniversary. It has been 20 years since Israeli forces entered Jenin refugee camp and proceeded to decimate it, killing at least 50 Palestinians and leaving over 13,000 homeless. Please take time to read this remembrance by Jennifer Loewenstein who entered the camp right after the onslaught ended and remembers it clearly to this day.

Finally, I wish everyone celebrating Ramadan, and those who will be celebrating Passover and Easter in this upcoming week, a wonderful holiday. Unfortunately, as we all know, this holiday season in Gaza is impacted by the ongoing Israeli siege. Still, there are moments of celebration and beauty.
