Nikki Haley, who once criticized AIPAC for being insufficiently pro-Israel, is running for president

Nikki Haley was the first U.S. governor to sign anti-BDS legislation, and once criticized AIPAC for not being pro-Israel enough. Now, she is preparing to run for president.

Former South Carolina Governor and Trump official Nikki Haley is expected to announce a presidential run later this month. Haley’s political career has established her as a strong supporter of Israel, and she’s highlighted that record in recent months. She first teased the notion of running for the GOP nomination at a Christians United for Israel (CUFI) event last summer.

In 2015 Haley became the first Governor to sign legislation targeting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. The bill became a template for stifling Palestine activism throughout the country, and 35 states currently have such a law in effect. The bill was first initiated by South Carolina State Rep. Alan Clemmons, who brought a delegation of Texas lawmakers to the Israeli Knesset shortly before that state passed its own anti-BDS bill.

“Christians in the US and Americans in general have a great deal of respect for Israel,” said Clemmons at the time. “We believe God has given us a duty to support Israel, so it was not a huge leap for South Carolina to stand up for Israel when it is being terrorized economically by the discriminatory, antisemitic practices engaged in by the BDS movement.”

“Nikki Haley is a strong leader. She is very conservative in her views. When we worked on the effort, Gov. Haley partnered with our legislatures to sign the anti-BDS bill into law without delay.”

As Trump’s U.S. ambassador to the United Nations (UN) from January 2017 to December 2018 Haley further solidified herself as a passionate defender of Israel and an enemy of Palestinian self-determination. She helped cut funding to the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA), led the effort to withdraw the United States from the UN Human Rights Council, and defended Israel killing more than 50 Palestinians at the Gaza border in 2018. Haley even threw a party for countries that refused to condemn the Trump administration for officially recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Haley made no statement after 10 Palestinians were killed during an Israeli raid on Jenin on January 26, but she immediately expressed condemnation after a Palestinian gunman killed six settlers and a Ukrainian woman the following day. After settlers began attacking Palestinian property, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that settlements would be expanded in response to the attack, Haley tweeted, “Israel has a right to self-defense” twice.

Haley’s support for Israel is so deep that she’s even criticized AIPAC for insufficient loyalty toward the country. While addressing a Republican Jewish Coalition conference in 2021 she attacked the lobbying group for hosting politicians who support resuscitating the Iran nuclear deal that the Trump administration violated.

“But there’s one thing I don’t get, and I’m not saying anything to you that I have not said to their leaders,” she told the crowd. “Why do they invite politicians to their conference who strongly support the Iran nuclear deal? I want all Democrats to support Israel as much as Republicans do,” she said. “But if you make bipartisanship the whole reason for existence, then you lose sight of the policies you’re fighting for in the first place.”

Despite the criticism, Haley has spoken at AIPAC events many times. In 2017 she told attendees of the group’s annual policy conference that she would take on any country that impeded U.S. support for Israel. “I wear heels. It’s not for a fashion statement,” she said. “It’s because if I see something wrong, we’re going to kick ’em every single time.”

At a December 2022 Republican Jewish Coalition meeting, Haley attacked Biden’s Israel policy and assured the crowd that she would destroy any negotiation progress with Iran if elected. “Look at how this president has treated Israel,” she said. “The Jewish state doesn’t even know if we have her back any more. Israel shouldn’t have to wonder whether American stands with her after every election.”

“If Biden succeeds in getting back in the Iran Deal, I will make you a promise, I’ve said it before, the next president will shred it on her first day in office,” she continued.

Haley is expected to make her official presidential announcement on February 15 in Charleston.

“Israel has a right to self-defense.” Nikki Hayley.

Hayley sold her soul to the devil a long time ago. Like so many other power hungry politicians, she knows the way to win power is by kissing up to an apartheid nation, that occupies, steals, and kills civilians by sniper and precision bombs. A nation that has one of the most UN resolutions against it.

The Palestinians HAVE THE RIGHT to resist their decades long suffering, in every way possible.
Israel’s occupation is ILLEGAL and against International laws.
Yet, Niki Hayley, like her fellow politicians, AND the United States, has chosen to side with the nation now labelled as an APARTHEID nation. Hayley has no shame as she keeps kissing up and showing her adoration, to one of the most disliked nations in the world, because Haley wants to sit in the Oval Office so badly. What human rights for those who are suffering?

“Palestinians have a legal right to armed struggleIt’s time for Israel to accept that as an occupied people, Palestinians have a right to resist – in every way possible.

Finding evolving vitality in humanitarian law, for decades the General Assembly of the United Nations (UNGA) – once described as the collective conscience of the world – has noted the right of peoples to self-determination, independence and human rights.
Indeed, as early as 1974, resolution 3314 of the UNGA prohibited states from “any military occupation, however temporary”.
In relevant part, the resolution not only went on to affirm the right “to self-determination, freedom and independence […] of peoples forcibly deprived of that right,[…] particularly peoples under colonial and racist regimes or other forms of alien domination” but noted the right of the occupied to “struggle … and to seek and receive support” in that effort. ” Al Jazeera

America…the land of opportunity for all sorts. Isn’t it wonderful?

I took an oath to defend the US Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. In my view Nikki Haley’s efforts to suppress criticism of Israel make her a traitor to the First Amendment of the Constitution.

When Nikki Haley or Joe Biden assert,

“Israel has a right to self-defense,

a purposeful misinterpretation of UN Charter Art. 51 is asserted either explicitly or implicitly.

Here is Art. 51.

“Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.”

Art. 51 refers only to a conflict between independent states when each has an established fully armed military organization.

When Biden or Haley refers to the right of the Zionist state to self-defense against the native resistance, he (or she) is really asserting a right for the racial supremacist colonial settler state to commit genocide against the natives because the racial supremacist colonial settler state can always make conditions so unbearable for the natives that the native resistance will lash out. Because the native resistance does not have an established fully armed military organization, the use by the racial supremacist colonial settler state of such a military organization shows dolus specialis of genocide.

In the case of Palestine, the attack started in 1881 when white racial supremacist European Zionists came to Palestine to dispossess Palestinians, to commit genocide on Palestinians, and to steal Palestine from Palestinians.

Since 1881 Palestinians have been defending themselves from racial supremacist Zionist colonial settler invaders. The international community has a fundamental international legal obligation to come to the assistance of Palestinians against racial supremacist colonial settlers, who planned genocide against Palestinians since the 1880s and put the genocide into operation in Dec 1947 after the international community made the ban on genocide jus cogens.

Nikki Haley is also a valiant defender of the Confederate flag!

She told the conservative radio host Glenn Beck that the Confederate flag symbolized “service, sacrifice and heritage” for some people in her state until Dylann S. Roof “hijacked” it.
