Palestine Children’s Relief Fund is working hard to try to heal Post Traumatic Stress among thousands of Palestinian children who have lived through three wars.
In 5 days, Cycling4Gaza is cycling 300km from Alkamaar, Netherlands to the International Criminal Court at the Hague for their 2015 cycle. C4G is dedicated to raising $286,000 to support the launch and running of the newly launched Pediatric Mental Health Project in Gaza for a year.
On November 2, Linda Wafi participated in the 26.2 mile-New York City Marathon. The 33-year-old Palestinian resident of Washington, D.C. was not just running for exercise, though. Wafi was raising money for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit that brings injured children from the Middle East to hospitals around the world for treatment. The fund is busy these days with helping Palestinians who were injured during Israel’s last military operation in the Gaza Strip, an area Wafi lived in for ten years.
Cycling4Gaza began in 2009 as four London friends recruited cyclists to raise funds for Gaza. Now it is teamed with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and coming to the U.S., with a Philadelphia to Washington trip on Sept. 18-21.
