According to Defense for Children International – Palestine, an Israeli sniper deployed on top of a residential building in the refugee camp shot Dirar al-Kafrayni in the back from a distance of approximately 295 feet. He’s the 18th Palestinian child to be killed since the start of 2022.

On Saturday, in the occupied West Bank, Amjad Abu Alia was killed by Israeli fire during a demonstration in his town of al-Mughayyir, north of Ramallah. Alawneh was was shot in the abdomen and hand, and was pronounced dead on Sunday afternoon,  making him the 78th Palestinian killed by Israeli forces this year, and the 16th Palestinian child killed by Israel since the start of 2022.
