Every year, workplaces in Israel distribute thousands of flowers to show their appreciation for their female employees on International Women’s Day. At the same time, these workplaces give women fewer opportunities to succeed compared to men.

The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine perfectly illustrates Israel’s apartheid system. While Palestinians living under Israeli occupation in the West Bank and Gaza will not receive vaccines from the Israeli government, the hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers living illegally in the West Bank are getting vaccinated every day.

Remember Israel’s basic law stating that it is the “Nation State of the Jewish People”? Well a judge dismissed a discrimination suit filed on behalf of Palestinian children who can’t find Arabic-speaking classes in the town of Karmiel, saying the law prioritizes Jewish settlement of the land, Palestinians are a minority in the town, so the state doesn’t have to lift a finger to help these children.
