Is Obama Already President?

For a while today Yahoo had Obama’s thoughts on the NCAA tournament as its top story. Even Obama trivia is great copy; he’s glamorous and surprising and goodlooking and a true leader. What with his electrifying speech on race the other day, and George Bush’s complete meltdown as a head of state, I feel like Obama’s our president. People are taking their cues about the direction of the country more from him than anyone else. O.K., Hillary is now ahead in the polls, and the same poll puts McCain ahead of Hillary in the fall; but I’m not talking about elections as such. I’m talking about the mood of the country, the zeitgeist as we used to say. Obama’s president. God knows what we’re going to do if the people elect one of those old farts.

    If the recent past is any indication, we'll bend over and say "thank you sir, may I have another…"

    We have become the dumbed-down nation of sheep that left-liberalism and Judeo-Christian Zionism always dreamed about. Their decades-long efforts have paid off. We've all been vulgarized, desensitized, coarsened, lobotomized — clueless about our libertarian heritage.

    How does it feel?

    Being a dick I will truly "enjoy" it when McCain gets "elected", in a very strange election where votes will not be counted or counted a few times for the GOP, with "strange" facts flooding the internet but ignored by the media…

    And of course we Americans' will be outraged, and post judiciously on blogs just HOW outraged we are.

    …as we gear up for the "limited", "surgical" bombing campaign against Iran… then Syria, possibly later in McCain's presidency…

    i saw the gallup pole showing HC ahead of Obama. i doubt it . probably Bill worked the poll. he wants to have doors opened, to ride in helicopters, go to camp david, etc.
    these two are worthless parasites.
