British P.M. Joins Sarkozy in Condemning Settlements. Where’s Obama?

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has now done what French Prez Sarkozy has done, and Obama and Bush are incapable of doing: demanding an end to the settlements. This is clear evidence, if any more is needed, of the role of the Israel lobby in our politics. As J Street has haplessly demonstrated, it cannot ask American Jews to condemn the settlements and expect more than one hand clapping. It counts it as a victory when most Jews say that Israel should give up “many” of the settlements. Oh yes, reform Islam. And reform Judaism too!

    The settlements are very much the litmus test–for the future of the whole world. It sounds crazy,but think about it. How astute are you politically and economically?

    Sarkozy's Holocaust initiative is completely wrong, and it would make more sense to develop a national French pen pal campaign between French children and Palestinian children

    1. in order to develop greater awareness among the French of the evil of Zionism and
    2. in order to inoculate the French public against Jewish Holocaust indoctrination.

    For me the most hopeful sign of the survey is contained in question 37:

    37 (SPLIT A) It bothers me when American Jews disagree publicly with Israeli government policy.
    OR
    It does not bother me when American Jews disagree publicly with Israeli government policy.

    The numbers that are only slightly or not bothered at all, according to option 2, signal hope.

    Has anybody listened to the audio of the May 16th telebriefing, the most interesting questions come at the end.(OK, admittedly I would have asked the same) I understand the name of the "male voice" as "Amy Eden", and that does not make any sense. Can anybody help? It's around 58 in, towards the end. Who is that?

    England is a country where they apologize to the local rag heads for using a dog in a police awareness add. Churchill and Marlborough are long dead and appeasement and Arabism has always run the show in white hall. But come to think of it appeasement is running the show in Jerusalem these days.
