I Paid for the Best Ads on Television

For 25 years I was a Geico customer. I got Geico insurance because someone told me about Government Employees insurance a long time back. Big secret. Now I'm a Progressive customer, because Geico wanted $800 for my insurance for two cars for half a year, and Progressive wanted $600. I love the Geico ads. They're the best ads on TV. But there's no rational reason for them, or no reason I should pay more on my auto insurance to entertain the nation. Someone else can take up the slack.

(This post inaugurates a new category, posts designed to spike my ad revenue, or test it anyway. As liberal white boy and others warned me, Google ads doesn't pay a lot. I've had some good days, some derisory ones. Mostly I'm curious about what works…)

Somehow I doubt you can do much about short of writing on more commercial topics. I guess the people out there looking for something specific are more likely to follow links.

I'll keep in mind to click on some occasionally. But most of the time there is nothing interesting.

Progressive has some of the worst ads on television. If I hear the phrase "big, tripped-out name-tag" one more time, I will explode.
