ADL Is Dancin’ in the Streets Over Financial Crisis Graffiti

The ADL has a grisly poster on its site, and scary scary lead:

Conspiracy theories linking Jews and Israel to the global financial meltdown are taking on global reach as the financial crisis on Wall Street continues to affect markets around the world.

No one cares about this crap...

  1. How is Israel doing in all this turmoil? I read previously that they are a lender nation as they have accumulated so much cash. Maybe if they are so healthy financially, they'd forgive us if we (the US) stopped their ride on the gravy train for a little bit.

You didn't mention the best part, that they're so desperate for a story to be trolling the comments sections of webpages!

  3. Todd says:

"Maybe if they are so healthy financially, they'd forgive us if we (the US) stopped their ride on the gravy train for a little bit."

Israel could start paying back the "loans" from the US.

  4. Richard Witty says:

I personally am glad that the ADL is monitoring and commenting on propaganda that is presented.

You minimize the consequences of hate.

While it is very important to see things in proportion, part of that is to actually incorporate the lessons learned from the holocaust, one of which is "hate speech is not ignorable".

    You gamble with others' lives.

"Whenever world events are difficult to explain or understand, Jews are the most convenient scapegoat," Foxman said.

Truly Abe Foxman is Goebbels turned on his head.

The U.S. has really outdone all the other fascist authoritarian states in history: it privatized the Ministry of Propaganda and created a competitive growth industry.

  6. MM says:

Phil is gambling with peoples' lives, but ziomensch Marty Peretz and his merry shorting hedgefunders aren't gambling with peoples' lives, no! Of course not! No, they're …investing in the economy… of course!

$50 trillion in the derivatives market is gambling with people's lives; conducting journalism on deranged charlatans like Foxman is the opposite, the equivalent of laying down good-faith collateral on our ballooning spiritual debt.

Speaking of the consequences of hate, FAIR has just released a report on the promotion of Islamophobia in the media.

Smearcasting: How Islamophobes Spread Fear, Bigotry, and Misinformation

There's no discussion of the culprits' motivation or Zionism, but take a look at the table of contents–

The Dirty Dozen: Who’s Who Among America’s Leading Islamophobes
    David Horowitz
    Robert Spencer
    Daniel Pipes
    Michael Savage
    Pat Robertson
    Sean Hannity
    Bill O’Reilly
    Mark Steyn
    Steve Emerson
    Michelle Malkin
    Glenn Beck
    Debbie Schlussel

That's six out of twelve from a group accounting for less than two percent of the population. Quite an accomplishment. (And most of the rest are their employees.)

    To Witty:

One person's hate speech is another's freedom speech.
A la one person's patriot, is another's terrorist.

Is saying such just an example of moral relativism?

    Well, then, look at history.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander?

Applying moral principles inconsistently is the problem.

The devil of course is always in the details.

Americans get a one-sided view of the details.

Just as the Germans did back in the day.

    Free speech.

There's something wrong with muzzling where every attempt
at bringing new details to light brings on the scenario where
somebody cried "fire!" in the theatre.

Let's air ALL dirty laundry in public.

You say that's not good, assuming the masses are cattle?

Well then, cattle they will be, maybe good for you for awhile, but look at long term human history….

If they are your cattle today, they will be somebody else's tomorrow.

We need public TV channels 24/7 rendering up in depth public debate on all issues with a national impact.

Since the USA public owns the air waves, why has this not already
    happened?
