Another appeal to Obama not to name Dennis Ross envoy

In the Christian Science Monitor, longtime State Department staffer Norman Olsen urges Obama to signal a shift in course and not name the "traditional" (i.e. peace-processor/Israel's lawyer) Dennis Ross, and to "empower the envoy to engage with all parties to the conflict, regardless of current prohibitions, on all issues, overturning long-established policy."

The Olsons' article is excellent. I don't suppose anybody but Mondoweiss fans actually read this stuff. Pity . . .

Always interesting to meet a thoughtful person that feels surrounded by a mob of nitwits.

Do you think Norman H. Olsen's suggestions have a chance in the larger cultural climate our cockeyed optimist discusses?
