I am sure Barbara Lubin could never have anticipated the response to her original report. I gather that in Bahrain Monday night she also apologized for passing along the rumor. I happen to think Barbara posted something by email in the confusion and trauma of her visit; she did not realize how the story would spread, nor was she thinking about tracking it down for verification.

If this story is untrue or just never verified, it should not (but might well) diminish the horror of what we know to be true.

Great point, Leila. It's similar to the whole idea of Jewish power here in the United States. The fact that less than 3% of our population make up over half of our billionaires and are disproportionately seated at the highest levels of government, the media, entertainment, etc. – try pointing that out as a non-Jew and just witness the vitriol you'll receive. As for the Adam Rose quote, I don't know who that is, but it beautifully sums up the pro-Hamas side. They make up lies and justify them by saying "well, other bad things actually happen".
