The Telegraph: European human-rights leaders talk about war crimes. But Arab states are largely unmoved by Gaza's plight because they fear Islamic militancy in their own states.

This is a payoff for Israel from USA invasion of Iraq.
The death tall in Iraq of approximately 1 million people is a sobering thought for most, but it is the fate of Saddam Hussein that has prevented many from antagonizing the Israel.
*******************************************
The lobby that dare not speak its name.
If those "Arab Moderates" spoke up, their would be no public opinion vacuum for the Islamists to fill.
Arab Moderates that criticise Israel will exact heavy price for their country to pay in subtle but substantial chilling of their relationship with USA.
The tactic used by pro-Israel PACs: If member of legislature does not support Israel "enough" his opponent gets immediate, irreverssible, substantial and powerful political and financial support, while the offender becomes vilified in media on every possible issue.
Doing this to countries works just as well. If moderates critical of Israel were to get airing in the country's media, the reaction is swift:
Out of the sudden, aid gets delayed and questioned , access to USA politicians and civil servants becomes difficult, ambassador doesn't get invitations …….
It is extremely powerful.
On the other side, the Islamists speak their mind: they have less to loose and sense of moral fortitude to back them up.
Much of the base root of the harm is due to the USA being most
essentially a plutocracy. Demography matters less than money except as it pertains to minorities. Will this change in a score, when the whole USA will be able to boast the nation no longer contains a white majority? Seems to me, then money will finally be all powerful.
Yes, it has to be fear of being put on the Axis of evil. Because with silence these Arab elites are doing nothing but empowering Islamists, who are the only ones who actually DO something about the Zionists.
And that's the problem for us peaceloving people, but also the solution for the elites. As long as every moderate organization or individual who fights the Zionists for example with boycotts is discredited, the elites (Jewish and non-Jewish) can shout "oh look, only godless Jewhating Muslim terrorists fight Israel".
