From the Irish Times:

genocide and was in the Balkans when ethnic cleansing took place. As

Palestinian situation is the worst he has ever encountered…
When asked for personal background for this profile, Ging told The
Irish Times to feature a double-amputee child from Gaza instead of him.
He insists that the heroes of this dark chapter of Gaza’s history are
the people of Gaza and the refugees whom UNRWA serves. They have
suffered untold tragedy and they should be featured, not him….
"You cannot use artillery shells and tank rounds in such an environment.
This is what we’ve all be saying for so long and we’re now, of course,
at the receiving end here. But so too are tens of thousands, in fact,
hundreds of thousands of people. Our plight is their plight.”

The pilot plays computer games over Gaza
by Mats Svensson
The big difference is that the billions of the world today can see how the pilot calmly sits and starts his well armed toy, the F 16. The whole world, from South Africa to North Norway, from Australia to Alaska watches on TV how the plane almost before it has reached Gaza’s eastern border is over the Mediterranean. “Oh dear,” the soldier thinks, “that was quick, it’s so small.” He passes so quickly that he almost doesn’t have time to drop his bombs. But he does not miss, he hits both women and children, and he also hits hospitals, schools and UN buildings. His accuracy is better than in the computer games he usually plays. But in the same way that the pilot cannot be hurt by the computer game, he cannot be hurt by the great danger in green. For the soldier, he is harmless.
When the pilot returns to the military base, he and his friends bring out a new computer game. The TV is shut off, no BBC, CNN or Al Jazeera. Everyone shuts reality out. One does not want to hear any screams or see any blood.
More than 1100 dead, 5000 wounded. An incomprehensible number. The refugees that fled over 60 years ago have been shut behind high walls. They have nowhere to go. People run around like in a cage at the zoo. 60 years ago one could flee to Gaza, Bethlehem, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Sweden. Today one has been surrounded on all sides. Battleships from the Mediterranean, planes from the air and tanks from the north and the east and Egypt is keeping its door shut.
The pilot will also tomorrow crawl into the small cockpit. When I see the small and effective F 16 planes pass by I often wonder if the pilot isn’t still playing computer games. Does he understand that this is real. Does he understand that the human like shapes on the computer screen are real people and that he kills, kills, kills.
"John Ging is an ex-Army officer who worked in Rwanda during the genocide and was in the Balkans when ethnic cleansing took place. As one of the UN’s main men on the ground in Gaza, he says the current Palestinian situation is the worst he has ever encountered"
Perhaps he never stuck his head outside of a plush hotel while he was in Rwanda. Or perhaps blacks killing blacks has to be discounted by some very large factor:
"The Rwandan Genocide was the 1994 mass killing of hundreds of thousands of Rwanda's Tutsis by Hutu militia. Over the course of approximately 100 days, from the assassination of Juvénal Habyarimana on 6 April up until mid July, at least 500,000 people were killed.[1] Most estimates indicate a death toll between 800,000 and 1,000,000"
Read any account of the Rwandan genocide, and then try to say with a straight face that Gaza even begins to compare. Given the relative military capabilities of the Rwandan military and the IDF, if the IDF had any genocidal intent, there would be hundreds of thousands of Gazan deaths.
NO ARMY IN RECENT OR ANCIENT HISTORY TAKES THE PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID CIVILIAN CASUALTIES THAT THE IDF TAKES. If you can find one, tell me.
Tell us a bit more about these "precautions" Mr.Pierson. Are you by any chance referring to the indication of "safe" places that were subsequently shelled ?
Or to the IDF inquiry about the coordinates of UN facilities which only seems to have served for hitting them later with greater accuracy?
hmpierson, Ging is director of the UN refugee relief program in Gaza. He's speaking about the refugee situation. No Rwandan refugee camps were ever bombed that I know of. No Rwandan food storage facilities sent up in flames.
"NO ARMY IN RECENT OR ANCIENT HISTORY TAKES THE PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID CIVILIAN CASUALTIES THAT THE IDF TAKES"
Exactly, and this is precisely why they are using innocent Palestinians as human shields! Great! Way to go in the Precautions-department, IDF!
The African campaign did not involve direct US aid to Israeli killing as is happening now in Gaza. The moral imperative of the USA is being
killed with every Pal civilian death. There is a righteous .target circled on every American. The USA government does not see this at all. American goys, the under world yearns for your righteous destruction, you with those sandy-browed innocent & bRAVE instructions, your limbless future insured by Zionist insurance agents.
