Cairo was a promise

Post I noticed in Cairo that Egyptians took Obama's speech as a promise. (That's the front page of the Egypt Post, June 5.) Earlier today Adam Horowitz noted a trend among commenters: Israeli intransigence might harm Obama's international credibility. Well here is Yousef Munayyer a policy analyst with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, in the Boston Globe:

Obama raised the stakes when he spoke in Cairo. If Netanyahu calls
his bluff in this international game of chicken, the United States will
lose the credibility in the region that the president worked so hard to
regain. He better not be bluffing.

Just like Obama said to Tehran: The world is watching.
