From Haaretz: "Housing Minister: Spread of Arab population must be stopped":
Housing Minister Ariel Atias on Thursday warned against the spread of Arab population into various parts of Israel, saying that preventing this phenomenon was no less than a national responsibility.
"I see [it] as a national duty to prevent the spread of a population that, to say the least, does not love the state of Israel," Atias told a conference of the Israel Bar Association, which focused on a reforming Israel's Land Administration.
The Shas minister referred to Harish, a housing project built for the Haredi community in northern Israel, saying that the Arab population from the nearby Wadi Ara was spreading into the Harish area.
What part do you not understand? It is not immoral to separate an antagonist from a victim. Once the threat of genocide is gone I will be all for smoking hashish and singing Kumbaya with the Arabs.

Hi Colin Good post. No time this morning, except to say that i still maintain the anti-Arab racism in America runs deeper than you want to admit. Mainstream movies and TV, full of cute and cuddly jews , blacks latinos etc still have basically two roles for Arabs—fat, corrupt oil sheik or unshaven, wild-eyed terrorist. I think this has an effect. If it doesn't cause Americans to hate Arabs, I believe it does make them largely indifferent to arab suffering. They have simply earned their hardship, through backwardness, deceitfulness, lack of culture, and so forth. I saw a 20/20 special not too long ago on iran (not Arab, but the point is the same). OK..we're going to teach you about Iran. Most Americans don't know a whole lot, so sit back and we'll tell you about iran. Basically, they said that the US and Iran enjoyed warm relations until those nutty, deceitful Iranians took our hostages at the embassy. Things have been tense ever since. No mention of Mossadegh. No mention of egging Iraq on to attack them, (with weapons we graciously supplied) ..Nothing. The fact that Iran has a legal right to enrich uranium is as unmentionable as Israel's massive nuclear arsenal. All this fuels racism.
