Remember Haaretz informing us that every Obama appointee must be vetted by the pro-Israel organizations? Here Jeffrey Goldberg praises an Israeli, Shmuel Rosner, for writing that an Obama appointee (a Jewish woman who calls Israel her "homeland," no less) should be canned because she won’t get along with Jewish organizations. (Thanks to Sullivan, who conflates "neocons" and the "lobby," and Voskamp.)

Your American tax dollars at work.
From Citizen’s link to Goldberg–
“In fact, settlers do on occasion shoot Arabs in the head for no reason, which is perhaps the main reason their movement has lost whatever moral power it once posessed.”
Nice of him to acknowledge that the settlers are moral idiots, though that’s pretty standard even in America (criticism of the settlers is the one form of criticism of Israelis that’s allowed.) Still, I wonder what moral power he thinks the settlers once possessed? Maybe there’s a hint of recognition that the settlers are just an embarrassing continuation of what Zionism has been long before 1967 (though of course for Goldberg he sees the connection as positive).
