A headline in Haaretz says: "Jewish lobbying sways EU against support of Goldstone Gaza report." (Turns out the report is inaccurate, happily.)
But note the frank reference in an Israeli newspaper to Jewish lobbying. (Paul Woodward picked this up.)
And note in that anti-BDS program coordinated by the Israeli government, there are a couple references to the importance of lobbying. Lobby academic journals… lobby the U.N.
Yeah, but it’s Ha’aretz. Not to be flippant, Mr. Weiss, but that paper has been calling it out like it is for years.
Even so, I heard that the IDF censors Haaretz; I would also like to see some Hebrew reader juxtipose a slice of that paper as published in Hebrew versus as published in English. Of course the NYT and MSM generally here in the USA are self-censoring; on the I-P issue the journalists have become AIPAC stenographers.
Well here’s one story – about the arrest of Marwan Barghouti – in which the fact that the IDF uses ambulances for military operations somehow got dropped between the Hebrew and English editions:
