Judge Goldstone's removal from the board of governors of Hebrew University is quite possibly the greatest in a long history of grave insults to the legacy of Judah Magnes, founder of the Hebrew University. Magnes, who warned of the totalitarian path his ostensible country was about take in his final address at the University in 1947, Magnes, whose final political act before his death in 1948 was to resign from the American Jewish Committee when it refused to give any money to help Palestinian refugees. Indeed, if Magnes came back today and would remain, in spite of everything, a Magnes Zionist, he would probably want no one more identified with his good name than Goldstone. Hebrew University should be ashamed of itself.

So the rot was there from the beginning.
I used to have respect and deference for the Hebrew University. Increasingly I see it as nothing more than another stolen Palestinian neighborhood.
