As Alex Kane notes above, Ron Paul, the libertarian Republican, has been barred from next week's Republican Jewish Coalition forum of the candidates. Adam Kredo:
Paul was not invited to attend the RJC's candidates forum because the organization - as it has stated numerous times in the past - "rejects his misguided and extreme views," said [RJC Executive Director Matt] Brooks.
"He's just so far outside of the mainstream of the Republican party and this organization," Brooks said.
Brooks has previously attacked Ron Paul specifically because he has criticized Israel.
Well, tomorrow CNN's Wolf Blitzer will have Ron Paul on the Situation Room. He did a pretty fair report on Paul today. I'm more and more impressed by Blitzer. I don't care that he lived in Israel or once worked for AIPAC; that was a long time ago, and he has shown great respect for the Arab Spring and has the potential to be the mainstream corridor-cutter on the Palestinian issue. He knows Israel's in an existential crisis of its own making. I'm betting he's going to be fair to Ron Paul on the Iran question, and Palestine, too, tomorrow.
