Leading professors at Columbia University challenge Nicholas Dirks over an interview he gave UC Berkeley’s Public Relations office timed with his appointment as the new university Chancellor. In that interview Dirks distanced himself from a petition calling for divestment and endorsed the view that Palestine-solidarity activism at Columbia created a climate of anti-Semitism on the campus.
