Olmert Expresses ‘Regret’ for Nakba

Ehud Olmert says exactly what John Mearsheimer says: it's looking more and more like a binational state.

The prime minister told the committee that there
is a concern over "the entrenchment of the narrative of a binational
state, in which we will not be the majority. Ever-growing segments of
the international community are adopting the idea of a binational
state
. [my emphasis] I see a Jewish state as a condition for our existence."

Olmert says that Israel and the Palestinians can get to a deal involving borders, security, and refugees by the end of '08. No right of
return, but a deal. And international recognition of those borders with two state. See–Israel has to care about international legitimacy.

I share in expressing regret over what happened to
the Palestinians in 1948 and also to the Jews who were deported from
Arab countries.

God save us, god save the Jews! And as for Jerusalem, postpone that, he says. I say: International city. Let the world speak on this now. And will someone call out the neocons? To think they have no influence here is absurd. Kovner? Obama? Somebody with chojones (Yiddish for…)
