Do Blankfort’s views scorch your eyeballs?

I regard this blog as a clearinghouse for leftwing/realist ideas about the Middle East. That's the only way I'm going to make it important, which is my goal. I am trying to move a lot of opinion by Arabs, Muslims, Jews and non-Jews. Though being Jewish, I tend to have a Jewish comfort zone.  Anyway, yesterday Jeff Blankfort, who's Jewish, sent me news about the use of white phosphorus in Gaza with a comment that Israel was behaving like Mengele and "How long will the world put up with the crimes of what a French diplomat aptly described as 'that shitty little state?'" Then Blankfort said that the George Mitchell embassy to the Middle East won't produce anything.

I told Blankfort I didn't agree and that some of his comments "may scorch my readers' eyeballs." I am a hopeful person. I find Blankfort to be too harsh, but real smart. He responded. You decide, reader:

Phil,
Some may be more ready than you imagine and some will never be
but it's your blog and you have to determine what fits.  All I can
say is that if the Jewish majority allows the  establishment to
continue to dictate US Middle East policy, the next American revolution
will be directed against the whole community, particularly as the
economy sinks deeper and deeper into a despression and the people begin
looking for the horses that brough us to this point.

Mitchell's
appointment and efforts, like the last, will take its place among those
of other non-Jews who have been sent to the Middle East for the same
reason over the years; his findings will be attacked and marginalized
by the Zionist establishment  as it was able to do with the findings of
the Iraq Studt Group and the NIE on Iran which didn't focus on the I-P
subject but did hrelate to Israel.

Obama has aleady called
Olmert and Abbas and apparently said he is ready to pick up the pieces
by supporting a thoroughly discredited Abbas and signing off on the
Lipni-Rice MOU which makes the US a party in preventing Hamas from
re-arming while he is soon to agree,I suspect, in  replenishing that
which Israel expended killing Palestinians.

As for the US
canceling the last billion of loan guarantees because of the settlement
building, Congress will find a way to make it up as they have before
under a similar situation.. But will Obama ask for the cancelation? I
doubt it.

This was an interesting piece by Reuven Kaminer, an old
American Jewish lefty who went to Israel at the beginning I believe and
whose hospitality I shared back in 83–an interesting piece
until he presents us with a paragraph that acccuses the "lightly armed"
Hamas fighters of being cowards because they did not rush out into the
open to confront the Israeli soldiers and their US war planes. Quite
apart from Kaminer showing complete and inexcusable  ignorance of
guerilla war, if there were any cowards in the fight they were wearing
Israeli uniforms. There was a time when the Israelis battled actual
armies and demonstrated bravery, but these kids today know only how to
occupy and humiliate another people, which is why Hezbollah cleaned
their clock and will do it again in Israel messes with them one more
time.
