I email a Jewish friend:
I just did a post with two savage items of racism from Israel in the last couple days, contrasted with Tony Karon saying that Olmert says American Jews won’t stand for apartheid. But I dont believe it. I believe they’d swallow apartheid. Now that’s OY!
The friend writes back:
And when they finally admit the truth and distance themselves, they’ll say they didn’t know. A friend, now 85, who left Germany for England on the Kindertransport in 1939, said to me recently about the whole Israel thing (American Jews and Israelis) that it’s just like the "good German," who "didn’t know."
I pass the dialogue to a third Jewish friend, saying, "This is why we’re here, honey." This friend says:
where are they gonna learn about it, ethan bronner?
as amira hass says, "they choose not to know"
