Adelson-owned newspaper denies Rubio endorsement came from Adelson

Yet another sign that the Adelson primary is over, and the man who floated the last Republican presidential campaign is going for FL Sen. Marco Rubio. NBC News:

Sheldon Adelson-Owned Las Vegas Newspaper Endorses Rubio

The Las Vegas Review-Journal endorsed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for the Republican nomination Friday, saying their reasons for the endorsement are “many.”

Washington Post reporter Ed O’Keefe sees the writing on the wall:

The Review-Journal denies that it’s tipping Adelson’s hand.

The RJ met with Sen. Rubio on Oct. 9, two months before the announcement of the newspaper’s sale to the family of Las Vegas Sands Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson. The Adelsons have detached themselves from our endorsement process, and our endorsement of Sen. Rubio does not represent the support of the family.

Donald Trump didn’t do an audition:

When we began this process, we made it clear to candidates that they had to meet with us to gain consideration for our endorsement. We made many attempts to meet with businessman and Republican front-runner Donald Trump, but he could not work an interview into his schedule.

I thought Miriam liked Cruz. Well, she and Sheldon probably have their own beds by now.

That’s why Rubio has been acting so smug lately. He’s got that look like big cash just rolled in and he’s going to be propelled to the front of the line. His wife must be measuring the drapes already; that’s how sure of himself he’s been looking lately. YUCK.

America… Zionist rig.

In the 2012 election, Adelson gave $5M to Newt Gingrich early on, and tons more to Mitt Romney later on, for a total that year of $100M.

This year, let’s guess who will be the beneficiary of Adelson’s campaign donation.

Give up?

May I have the envelope please!!!…I predict…Marco Rubio!

Surprised?

Me neither.

Wasn’t there news floating around that Adelson had given Cruz 5 million, either to his super pac or his campaign? Maybe just a test balloon in case Rubio collapsed in NH(while it now looks like there will be a three-way race in the GOP). Anyway, this is very predictable. Rubio is the establishment puppy, just like Clinton. It won’t help, because the GOP can’t win elections anymore, but in a sense I hope he gets… Read more »

RE: “Adelson-owned newspaper denies Rubio endorsement came from Adelson” MY COMMENT: I couldn’t help but notice that the very same Adelson-owned newspaper (The Las Vegas Review-Journal) has had nearly a dozen articles in the last week or so about its “massa’s”* plans for seeking $780 million in public financing in order to build a $1.2 billion domed stadium on 42 acres near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas that would house the school’s football team… Read more »
