The “Shami neighborhood project” will ethnically cleanse the Bedouin population of Jerusalem’s eastern wilderness as part of Israel’s plan to take total control over the strategic “Greater Jerusalem” corridor, which would split the West Bank in two. 

Tens of thousands of Palestinians in the Qalandia refugee camp and Kufr Aqab are cut off from Jerusalem by the apartheid wall and separated from other Palestinian towns. Now, a new Israeli settlement plan threatens to displace them completely.

Israel is constructing tunnels that Palestinians will be required to pass through in the heart of the West Bank, making large parts of the occupied territory accessible only to Israelis. The aim is to remove the Palestinian presence around Jerusalem.
