I promise you all this stuff is going to come out, about the Jewish neocons and Iraq

New book by Times reporter Pat Tyler says George Tenet raged against the necon Jews while bathing in Prince Bandar's pool. Interesting that Tenet wrote a whole book about Iraq and left Jews out of it. Will this finally give Chris Matthews (who beat up Frank Gaffney last night on Iraq) permission to say the magic words? (Jewish neocons) Jeffrey Goldberg picked it up in his blog, scooped it, like a duck on a junebug. Good for him. But Jeffrey darling, how do you explain that Tenet would write a whole book about Iraq and not say what he said in Prince Bandar's pool? What is the muzzle he was wearing on his soul?

That's a quote from Melville, from 1849 or so, in a letter to his publisher Evert Duyckinck, expressing the wish that Shakespeare were alive: "Not that I might have had the pleasure of leaving my card for him at
the Astor, or made merry with him over … punch; but that the muzzle
which all men wore on their souls in the Elizabethan day, might not
have intercepted Shakespeare's full articulations. For I hold it a
verity, that even Shakespeare was not a frank man to the uttermost.
And, indeed, who in this intolerant Universe is, or can be?"
