You have to see this. It is the best journalism yet on the American response to Gaza. Period.
An amazing video by Max Blumenthal/Alternet called, "Bomb a Ghetto, Raise a Cheer," from the demonstration of pro-Israel Jews in New York the other day. (Boy did I pick the wrong demonstration!) Blumenthal is simply off the hook. "Where do you draw the line on civilian casualties?" he asks again and again. They never draw the line. "Useless nothings," one sign calls Palestinians. The longhaired kid with the Kick Hamas' Ass poster explains that Israel is incredibly careful about targeting terrorists. When a woman says that Muslims "slash" their children ceremonially, Blumenthal says, "A religious ceremony?" Yes. Blumenthal says, "My parents had a mohel [rabbi who performs circumcisions] slash my penis." Genius. The woman is dumbfounded, then says that's inappropriate analogy. "It made it look better," Blumenthal says with drop-dead satirical rapier thrust.
Then a girl says it's the second Holocaust, and we're being persecuted all over again, and Blumenthal has fully exposed the craziness behind the Jewish response to Gaza.
(Thanks to Mohammad and Sebastian for the tip. We are the world.)

Scary, scary stuff. The people at the pro-Israel rally were more ideological, irrational, and downright racist and hateful than any "Islamofascist" could ever hope to be. Disgusting.
Is this what mainstream American Jewry wants to be associated with?
"It's a repeat."
"A repeat of the Holocaust?"
"Yeah."
"How?"
"Umm … we're being persecuted … again … for like the trillionth time ever."
"Long live Israel. God bless the United States."
I take that to mean "Long live Israel, and may the United States last as long as it is useful to Israel."
I also love it when Shumer points out that Israel notifies Palestinians by text message that they will be bombed, and asks "what other country would do that?" I guess the United States wouldn't. What country does he represent? It's not really clear.
There are too many examples of craziness and misplaced loyalty to point out, but it is very noticible that the word "we" is often used by the marchers when speaking of themselves in relation to Israelis.
But a Senator and the Gov. of New York were there, endorsing this. Disgusting
This video demonstrates the Jewish Zionist culture of hatred and murder, which also masquerades as victimized. Based on these people's descriptions of the enemy, one would think it was currently Jews being butchered in Gaza, instead of the other way around. But even as the Jewish Zionists slaughter Palestinian women and children in droves, they go on and on about how murderous the Arabs and Muslims are.
How are Palestinians supposed to negotiate with such a mentally ill people?
"Useless Nothings" was an anti-UN sign…I think.
Although it would have been consistent with the general anti-Palestinian racism of many of the protesters Blumenthal interviewed.
Love Blumenthal's stuff. This was even better than his John Hagee video, mainly because of that mohel exchange. He needs to write a book and get on the Daily Show.
"Useless Nothings" was an anti-UN sign…I think.
Maybe… and then maybe not. Notice that at 0:32 the demonstrators wave a quite large banner reading ISLAM = CULT OF DEATH. When they write articles, however, they'll be careful to say "Islamists" or "the radical elements within the Muslim faith."
Notice that one woman talks of removing the cancer. Nazi analogies anyone?
Almost as creepy as reading Contentions.
I agree that the UN are a bunch of useless nothings. They have failed to force Israel to abide by any of the resolutions that have been passed against it for the past 60 years, and many more have failed to go through "thanks to" good ol' USA.
I am anxiously awaiting Witty's post on his fellow zionists.
Max stayed with my wife and me this fall in Wasilla, Alaska, while he secretly videotaped Pastor Muthee revivals, where they spoke in tongues. Max practiced his tongue-speaking around the dinner table before heading out..
We visited Sarah and Todd Palin's gun store and I taped him interviewing the owner about Todd's favorite guns.
Max is one of the most intrepid young videographers working. It is striking how modest he is. He can be fairly fearless, too.
Go Max!
I liked the sign that said "USA 9-11, Israel 24/7." And people wonder why I'm not a multiculturlist!
Disgraceful.
He left himself wide-open for a joke about how his bris made his little schwantz even smaller, and I'm mildly appalled that the interviewee didn't draw a connection between that and his anti-Zionist overcompensation.
"Jewish crazies?" Try people who are proud of their heritage.
I don't understand what's unreasonable about this.
All throughout the video, the people in the rally repeatedly emphasize that they are against Hamas and radical islam, NOT ordinary muslims and palestinians.
This interviewer repeatedly asks questions, lets the interviewees get about three words out, and then moves on so as to make their responses sound as weird as possible. And as for not answering the questions they're asked–OF COURSE they don't answer the question, since the interviewer barely gives them time, and instead makes jokes about his penis when a woman tries to explain the terror of radical Islam.
VERY appropriate.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
