The Emperor’s Clothes

Chuck D, from the hip hop group Public Enemy, once called rap music "the CNN of black America." Looks like its getting the word out for anti-Zionist Jews as well:

This song, "The Emperor's Clothes," from Detroit rapper Invincible was first performed at the protest lock-down of the San Francisco Israeli Consulate.

LYRICS: "The Emperor's Clothes" by Invincible

"The Emperor's Clothes"

Phase 1: Air strikes all day and all night
Phase 2: Rockets hit the Gaza strip with phosphorus
Phase 3: Ground attack how we gonna counteract?

Boycott Divest and Sanction

Israel– you should be ashamed
Kill and maim 1,000's of civilians in our name
Claim you hitting terrorists but children in your aim
Even murder relief workers blood spilling from they brain
While they tried to drive the ambulance, damn they couldn't stand a chance
Even bomb students, hospitals, mosques, Rafah, and Khan Yunis
Shot em in the back like the cops to Oscar Grant…
And in each case the good ol' united states sponsored that
7 million a day that we pay tax and AIPAC's lobbyists is robbin us
Sometimes it feels like they're ain't no stopping this
BUT now no body can deny it cuz you made it too obvious
Naked truth exposed like the emperor's clothes
The struggles getting hotter and the temperature rose
Since 1948 when you formed the state
Palestinian people still defending their homes
They aint been surrendering, NO

Boycott Divest and Sanction
Cuz they even bombed the United Nations

Look, i'm Israeli, my government's so arrogant
War criminals who call Palestinians terrorists
For resisting extinction and occupation
Comparing this to genocide and reservations of Native Americans
Its a massacre! Kick out they ambassadors!
Divest from their apartheid like South Africa
Boycott em like King to Montgomery buses,
Show them we want peace but only with real justice
They murdering the media and witnesses left
We gonna stop shopping at all the businesses that invest
In building they settlements and gentrifying our corners
Illegal walls over there and the US-Mexico border
Build a worldwide movement til the truth is heard
And supporting the Israelis who refuse to serve
All the C.O.s who AWOL when deployed to Iraqi stations
All the people rallying while the cops are chasing
If we enlisted in the system we got an obligation
We ain't got the patience, time to stop the occupation

Boycott, Divest, and Sanction
Til there's right of return for displaced and reparations

I think I should go see Aviv Geffen Today at the legendary Luxor that reopened not long ago. Tonight.

    Welcome to Cologne, Aviv Geffen.

    To samuel burke: amen

Sure doesn't say much about the USA congress & white house. Nor its MSM, given license to act as a fourth check and balance, never
    drives the people's car.

I figure, if we haven't heard anything drastic in terms of a fix
to our cancerous foreign policy by the end of March, 2009, we should start working to replace Obama.

Also true if he puts no teeth in his mouth to bite Wall St.

  3. MRW. says:

To samuel burke, I also say amen.

As for Obama, dont count him out, From his speech today (Emphasis mine):

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint .

    [...]

For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus – and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West – know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.I am sure Israel heard the message. Now, did Rahm?

Chuck D has just been invited to discuss the Inauguration of Barack Obama on the most serious news review program in United Kingdom: Newsnight.

    I am watching it now.

I don't believe that this is coincidence: I believe that the message is : you CAN call for sanctions against Israel, and still be considered a serious contributor into political discussion, at least in Europe.

  5. Mohammad says:

Has Chuck D asked for sanctions?

  6. Eva Smagacz says:

    Mohammad,

Sorry, I mixed up two rappers: Chuck D and "Invincible".
It was former that commented on Newsnight and latter that called for sanctions.

I assumed they were the same person.
