Translating Israeli leaders

Ira Glunts just read an AFP story about the settlements and offers his translation:

Olmert -- I offered to evacuate 60,000 settlers. [It was easy to do because I will not be Prime Minister long enough to implement it, but it makes me sound so reasonable. Plus my wife loves this kind of talk. By the way, have you seen Bob Simon?]
Livni -- Distanced herself from the statement. [What did I tell Bob Simon on 60 Minutes? You know there is a slim chance I may be Prime Minister one day.]
Netanyahu -- "I will not keep Olmert's commitments to withdraw and I won't evacuate settlements. Those understandings are invalid and unimportant." [I will be the next Prime Minister. F--- Bob Simon]

  1. BTW, speaking of Bob Simon, it's great to see that J Street is pushing back against CAMERA and sending out member letters to CBS supporting Simon's 60 Minutes piece.

  2. Colin Murray says:

And yet Hamas is upbraided for refusing to abide by, or even merely wanting to re-negotiate, one-sided agreements made by corrupt and unelected Fatah collaborators? The era of successful double standards is drawing to a close.

  3. Glenn Condell says:

    Olmert, Livni, Netanyahu

2 of the three had terrorist fathers. The other probably wishes he did, which might explain his psychopathically aggressive behaviour.
