Is Livni DeKlerk?

Jack Ross:
It looks like we're going to have the best that could have been hoped
for, a unity government of the four large parties led by Livni.  Last
night I was resigned to such led by Netanyahu; either way it wouldn't
last a year.  I still think Livni will ultimately prove to be DeKlerk,
but now we're spared Netanyahu leading Israel the way of Rhodesia, and the very real dangers he represented of attacking Iran and putting up a fight against Obama.

Another friend demurs: DeKlerk? Livni is on record saying she wants to make the fence the new border. And she just bombed the s–t out of Gaza? Her party sought to ban 2 Arab parties from participating in today's election.

While Ross adds:

I see no
reason why there shouldn't be a unity government.  I think Peres knows
that to ask Netanyahu to form the new government would be to forever
bury the two-state solution, but he could still be old and bitter enough to do it.
