the lobby’s achievement: landgrab

One of my favorite themes is that Palestinian statelessness is an American Jewish achievement--the lobby's support for the settlement program throughout the '90s. Jeff Blankfort reports on a review of Dan Fleshler's book on the Israel lobby, in The Jewish Week:

Judging from the review, Fleshler, looking for signs of the lobby's weakness, points to some meaningless legislation that got through that represents crumbs to the Palestinians and to the failure to get the US embassy moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, frankly, another ho-hummer in Israel's big picture, when the real role of AIPAC and the Jewish majors has been to provide protection for Israel's continued expansion of settlements and theft of Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem. Facts on the ground, not symbols, are what has counted for Israel.

Ouch! That hurts. No wonder the Zionist-supporters are so eager to ret and make us believe it's all their own (the Palestinians) fault.

One of my favorite themes is the theme of Back to the Future. Which is as fictional as yours. The Palestinians have never had a state. They have existed as a self-identified group of people since the late 1960s. Before that, they thought of themselves as Egyptians, Jordanians, members of the Ottoman empire etc.

Before the founding of Israel, there hadn't been a state there since… the annexation of Israel by the Romans.

Weiss: "Palestinian statelessness is an American Jewish achievement"

An American Jewish achievement, yes. But also an American gentile failure. A failure of confidence to stand up to the accusatory and recriminatory Zionists leveraging the Jewish-victim narrative on behalf of a murderous land grab; a failure of principles and political vision in recognizing and acknowledging the anti-American nature of Zionism; and a failure of the courage of conviction that comes with fidelity to a true and noble belief system.

Who destroyed America's clear-eyed Christian conscience? Was it only the Jewish Zionist fifth column within, or was it the atheist-agenda Left as well, and the materialist, imperialist, war profiteering and money-worshipping Right?

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings."

Americans have made themselves underlings to Zionists by their willful and conscious betrayal of the true and noble right hand of power.

The gift of Christian Free Will is a bitch for those who succumb to hedonism; they are enslaving themselves and their progeny.

This is a meme I admittedly find revolting. One can of course always use one's own position as a guideline from which to judge the right or wrong of others.

      a) "they" didn't exist as a nation, thus they have no right to their land.
      c) The Ottoman Ardh-u Filistin wasn't a definitive administrative unit with clearly defined borders, it's inhabitants="they" tended to want to belong to the larger Arab region they belonged to before. They had no national consciousness. So why didn't they move there?
      b) "they" were economic refugees crowding in from other Arab nations.

And any other variation of the basically rights denial meme.

Oh, wonderful! Do we have our links back? Or is this an accident, that it seems to work again? Strictly automatically formatting a link as link, would be more democratic.

Why is it showing I am the first to comment on this thread when I read earlier published comments here?

The US is like a parent who spoils their kid rotten even when the kid is a bully and tyrant generally. The intentionally dumbed down American masses furnish the parent's trust fund and child support. If this was a drug or alcohol case, no average American watching the show would be cheering for either the parent or his/her tyrant kid. They'd demand tough love. The criminal responsibility lies in Congress and the MSM, neither which is doing its job for the USA, the brat Israel, or World peace–or at least World hate tempering. The nutty shrinks control. Nobody controls them.

I agree. Jerry Springer should do a new show focusing on this, instead of a show allowing people to laugh at redneck trailer trash–the reason? Camp crackers have no power at all, while those that should be allowed to show their true bigoted and crude ape colors because they impact the whole world are never shown at all.
